Mt. San Rafael Hospital is committed to providing the highest quality patient care, restoring patient function, and improving quality of life for patients. Services provided include inpatient and outpatient therapy.
Our staff of highly trained and dedicated professionals work closely with hospital physicians and other healthcare personnel in coordinating patient care tailored to their specific needs. We put great emphasis on patient and family education to further enhance individual progress. Our therapy staff provides physical and speech therapy, along with cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation.
Cardiac Rehabilitation ~ Improves physical conditioning and helps patients regain confidence to be active again following a cardiac episode like a heart attack or heart surgery. Also assists those patients with certain kinds of heart problems, such as congestive heart failure and angina.
Pulmonary Rehabilitation ~ Improves the well-being of patients with chronic breathing problems, such as COPD and emphysema. Assists with controlling and alleviating symptoms of respiratory impairment, improves quality of life, and optimizes functional capacity.

Occupational Therapy (OT) ~ Involves the use of meaningful and purposeful activities to maximize independence in individual self-care, work and social life skills. Therapists provide evaluation and treatment plans designed to teach and restore skills needed to perform the activities of daily life.
Physical Therapy (PT) ~ Restores movement and function, relieves pain and prevents further injury. Depending on the particular needs of the patient, therapists can mobilize a joint or muscles to restore joint motion or increase soft tissue flexibility.
Speech Therapy (ST) ~ Helps patients regain and increase their ability to communicate through speech. Designed to address language and speech problems, and also swallowing disorders.
